Lopez de haro tempranillo is pure young Tempranillo: strawberries, raspberries, flowers and red liquorice notes. A pleasure to drink slightly chilled with charcuterie. Refreshing and a real bargain.

Huge Amarone-style red made from dried grapes. “Declassified” as it also contains merlot. Punchy, lush, outrageous bargain.

CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE VIEUX CHEMIN CH FARGUERIOL 2015 – £45.00

Ruby coloured, the nose is spicy and full of sweet dried fruits. The palate is medium to full bodied with spicy, gamey flavours allied to prune, raspberry and leathery notes. The finish is warm and ripe and framed with elegance.

The best champagne grapes are grown in just 17 villages, one of which is Mailly-Champagne. Both nose and palate are subtle combinations of fruit, zest, honey and hazelnut. Delicate and complex.

ROSÉ – £34.95

Made the traditional way by macerating the skins from pinot noir grapes in champagne. The result is a bright, salmon-pink champagne with complex fruits and hints of caramel. Beautifully different.
50% pinot noir, 50% pinot meunier.

Champagne at its peak. Pale gold with a subtle mousse. A fresh attack rounds into a rich combination of candied fruit, hints of plum brandy and praline. Champagne to savour.
